NPC - The Raven Queen Revealed

As the wolf-rider invasion embroils Verbobonc in unexpected war the strangest of allies appear. Who she is no one knows, but she is an enemy to goblin-kind. 

From the Welkwood across the forested hills and into the Gnarley Forest, through the desolate ruins of villages destroyed during the recent rise and defeat of the Temple of Elemental Evil she has walked and her cloud of Ravens has been with her, protecting her, surrounding her like a living cloud of wings. 

Not even the druids have spoken to her though they have approached her and made what gestures of peace they could she has only recently acknowledged these attempts, opened armed and with a graceful bow before once again disappearing within her murder of crows.

This known, she has harmed no human, humanoid or wild beast but when she passes through a goblin band or monster with evil intent only the well-picked bones of wolf, goblin or wicked creature remain behind. The druids have sworn her no harm and the Viscount has proclaimed that she is to be left in peace. Other of both good and evil intent wish to know more about her and a great deal of coin is offered for this information. This reward to be paid by interested parties within the City of Verbobonc.

7) A Plague of Wolves & Ravens

Across the wastes of Hyperborea a lone figure emerges. Swathed in robes no one can say if this be a man or a woman. The figure appears in the distance and a blackness seems to hover near them; and the ravens come. But then the earth seems to move like a wave around this silent pilgrim and the wolves lope by. Hundreds of them.

They are a killing, scavenging plague that sweeps across the land. All creatures flee before it. Entire villages are decimated by it with scant few survivors who hid in attic or cellar, barricaded against this unstoppable menace.  They are an army and they are winning their war against mankind. They think as an army thinks. They run when a power greater than theirs opposes them. They attack when their opponents are weak. They conquer, but leave only well picked and gnawed bones behind them.
